Vintage Brass Southern Belle Wall Mount Folding Hanger Bracket

That metal bracket on her back is a hinge. Originally, there would have been a long brass rod (often with notches for multiple clothes hangers, an umbrella, or ties) attached right to that center rivet. When mounted to the wall, the rod could extend straight out to hold clothes and then fold flat against the wall when not in use.

Because it is missing the actual extendable hanger arm, its original function is compromised.

• This is a vintage solid brass wall-mount bracket shaped like an elegant Victorian lady or "Southern Belle" with a stippled, textured gown and wide-brimmed sun hat. Please note: This is the wall-mount bracket portion of a vintage folding clothing valet/hanger rack; the extendable hanger arm is missing. It features a working metal hinge on the back and could be a perfect replacement part for a restoration project, or easily repurposed into a unique wall hook, magnet, or decorative accent piece. Shows light vintage patina.
