• This kitschy, fish-shaped ceramic plate features embossed detailing to mimic fish scales, fins, and a face. It was originally produced in the mid-20th century as a mail-in advertising premium—customers would collect a certain number of Chicken of the Sea tuna can labels and mail them in with a quarter to receive a plate. While often attributed by collectors to Bauer Pottery or Hollydale Pottery, they were officially stamped "Made in California" and styled by designer Inez Donov.
