​​​​​​Think of it as a portable, heavy-duty elevator for construction sites. It doesn't work by itself; it clips onto specialized aluminum ladder tracks to zoom heavy materials from the ground to a roof or high floor.

• Roofing’s Best Friend: Its primary job is hauling bundles of shingles, rolled roofing, and plywood. It saves workers from the back-breaking (and dangerous) task of carrying heavy loads up a standard ladder.

How it works:

• The Sled: A metal platform sits on the track.

• The Drive (Your Item): This blue unit sits at the bottom and uses its motor to wind that steel cable, pulling the platform up the "ladder."

• The Control: You use the lever to engage the motor to lift, or "feather" the brake to let the platform slide back down smoothly.
