This machine is used for pressure polymerizing. When making dentures, dental bridges, or specialized plastic parts, the liquid resin needs to "cure" (harden) under specific heat and pressure to prevent air bubbles and ensure the material is incredibly dense and strong. 

We have not checked the pressurizing system. Some clever person might repurpose it into something else but it is HEAVY at 177 lbs!
