Aluminum mesh grease filters for a kitchen range hood or an over-the-range microwave.

Summary

• Function: These sit directly above your stove. They are designed to trap grease, oil, and smoke particles from the air before they enter the exhaust fan and ductwork.

• Design: They are made of multiple layers of expanded aluminum mesh held in a metal frame. They usually have a small pull-tab or "finger ring" (as seen in your second photo) to help pop them in and out for cleaning.

• Maintenance: These are washable. Most can be put through the dishwasher or soaked in hot, soapy water.
